I Is Me Own Worst Enemy
So, I's looking at the WWS report from last night's SSC run, and I notices what the single biggest source of damage into me, by a big fuhggin margin, were Shadow Word: Death, cast by ... ummm ... Ratshag. Way ahead of watery graves, spitfire totems, and various other random attacks and AoEs. Is big thanks to Kara, Saf, Drak, Xian, and all them other healers what helped keep me from killing meself.

Thats completely normal, though you did take alot of other damage. Usually my SW:D ends up being 75-80% of my total intake of damage.
VE helps alot and if your healers just throw a renew on you, you should be fine.
Yeah Ratters, us shadowy figures are as bad as lifetapping warlocks, only we take the pain without gettin mana back, we're givin THAT to everyone else...lol
I don't see falling damage anywhere on that chart. Obviously, there's room for improvement. (It's my belief that at least 30% of your lifetime damage taken should be falling damage.)
~It's no surprise to me
I am my own worst enemy
'Cause every now and then
I kick the livin' shit outta me~

mmm... Armond has a point... it seems you have mastered the most difficult encounter in SSc,,,, the elevator boss... it kills more raiders than all other bosses combined...
I hate the elevators too, as a matter of fact I think everyone does.
I wonder if us shadowpriests loose armor durability for SWD? I would think not since you dont loose durability against other players ie: pvp? Meh, I guess it doesn't matter it wouldn't stop us from beating the heck out of ourselves every 12 sec. =)
Yeah, we loses at least 1 poor bugger a night to the elevator boss. Me, though, I keeps a stack of light feathers handy and levitates, so falling damage. Helps with the watery graves too, as long as the initial blast don't kill me.
I'm glad to know I'm not the only SP who does that!
That 16k hit from tidewalker must have been fun.
I actually yell (not really!) at our healers to stop wasting their mana on me, since I vamp back my SWD damage anyways. Then again, it's nice to know they're worried about me :).
@dezdemone
SWD doesn't cause durability damage; in fact, if you kill yourself with it you don't even take the 10% hit. This is another situation where I sometimes yell at our healers (not really) because, geez, they just never switch off. The raid leader will call for a wipe, and I'll be very carefully setting myself up for a SWD assisted death, but they won't stop healing me!
Stop trying to do DPS and focus more on Mana!Mana!
I sent a thank you whisper to the druid that kept Lifebloom on me all night in our raid.
