Is A Quick Tournament Note

Fer us protection warriors, is somthins ya gots ta remember when getting on yer jousting mount. Be sure ta switch outta Defensive Stance, or yer gonna get hit with a 5% penalty to yer damage. Is especiallies a pain with gargoyles, where they go from needing two hits ta do the job ta three. Is stupids, but ya gots to remember it.

The fact what jousting is a stupid way fer a warrior ta have ta earn a living no matters what stance, I shall talk about another time, bcause I ain't talking about it now.

Yup. Noted that myself on my blog. We won't go into how many times I did those quests without realizing it >.>

Ah, knew I'd read it somewheres. Not the sorta thing I figgers out on me own.

As long as we make our fellow prot warriors aware, we are doing our duty.

I salute you, sir.

It happens on hunters too. If I forget to switch to Aspect of the Dragonhawk before I mount the charger, it takes me three hits to down a gargoyle instead of two.

IMHO, your stance/aspect should have no impact when you're on a vehicle. At least it's a minor issue with a simple fix.

Jousting gain benefits from Glyphs (Sense Undead = 1% damage increase) and
Talents (my self heal does more if I have the right talents) as well.

There are other similar vehicles out there. The Drakes in Occulus gain a benefit from Crusader Aura - and since I have it keybound, I can activate Aura Mastery for an even bigger speed boost during the "get out of dodge" phase.

Three hits? Naw. Shield Break on the run over, the whack it with the melee skill. Two.

Better yet, one hit if you charge one who's skimming the ground.

I found this out a while ago as well. Kinda dumb imo.

Likewise, if you're a Deathknight, you want to switch to Blood Presence to do the jousting, as your 15% dmg bonus applies there too, I think. At least my DK kills stuff jousting a lot faster than my Hunter does.

Ratters...I feel stupid now! I was wondering why my warrior needed to hit them more than my priest did!

Thanks Ratters! Now I know. :)

Actually there is a bonus to it, too. If you thrust hodirs spear in defensive stance, you take less damage while being gobbled alive. Never have I crashed into an icy lake as health as when in frost presence/defensive stance.
