Got no problems with anybody and his brother knowing this. I's just a simple orc, and I ain't got nuthins ta hide.
Me RL Avatar's name? That's a kodo of a totally different fuhggin' color. Blizz wants ta reveal that ta the whole wide world, they can take they's glubbernuggin' forums and stick'em up they's collective arse.
Who the hell would be needin' ta know his name what don't already know it, anywho?

eloquent as always. I could not agree more.
This basically took my from almost no desire to use the official forums to no desire to use the official forums.
The only part that worries me is the inability to report a bug now.
Maybe it'll cut down on the useless trolls?
I actually kinda liked using the forums, be it EU or just reading the US forums, and I also like the pure concept of real-ID (I am using it with two friends, one who plays horde on my main realm and one who transfered of to another) but THIS is one step in a direction I absolutely NOT like.
If this happens the way they plan it, I'll stop using the forums.
However I fear that this might not be the last we see about this. If they go even further and force it ingame, I'll probably quit altogether.
"Me Real Name Is "Ratshag""
Well said, orc! You don't use as many words as the rest of us, but you nail it.
Well put.
Now, any wagers on when Armory will start showing you Name and e-mail too?
As always, quite eloquent...for an orc, but I couldn't agree more. My night elf has in-game friends and my RL avatar has RL friends. Those two are separate. When those two worlds blur together, I'm done with WoW.
Gee. If they implement this system, then the gold spammers could just email me directly.
/sigh
Aerlian
I don't think this Ed could have said it any better Ratters. I and my RL avatar completely agree with you on this.
Best post about this I've seen so far. Cheers! :D
I do love good Orcish wisdom.
@Ann - I agree with you so the right choice would be not to use the real ID thing. World of warcraft is not Facebook and Facebook is not Warcraft, vice versa... they better stop now or they'll lose a big potion of their subscribers.
