Some Things, They Never Change

About a minute after I took this picture, I fell in the lava. Again.

What can I say? I's just a simple orc...

Y'know, what's funny (and I won't share quite how I discovered this) is that there's now a way out of the lava by the entrance to BRD.

In our guild, we call that "pulling a Cheesi" in honor of my wife who, despite her rogueish stealth and agility, falls in stuff...a lot.

Was there once not a way out of the lava? I guess the first time I ran it was last January, so at least since then, that ramp has been there. It makes the run back to the instance after dying much shorter. Just jump your spirit form into the pit, run across the lava and up the ramp.

And for higher level characters . . . the lava doesn't do enough damage to worry about as long as you don't go afk in it. On my level 80, I don't even bother running on chains anymore . . . just jump right in and swim.

There's a "Velaska Memorial Railing" in Karazhan. The railing is drawn there. Unfortunately, you can quite easily walk, or side step in this particular case, right off of it. And fall all the way down to the big library area right after Curator.

Of course, Velaska is a mage. And, of course, I couldn't find my slow fall button.

Hence the memorial. Many times after I was warned about the railing. :)

It's like the Bowser Castle stages in Mario Kart. Whoever thought it a good idea to use narrow, bumpy bridges over pools of lava as part of the track is a twisted individual.
